Purpose: To provide information on a recent malware attack that has been targeting Chrome users. 

Details: In the news today,  an attack has been discovered targeting Chrome users with a fake update scam. This attack involves compromised websites that prompt users to download a fake Google Chrome update, but actually installs malware.

To protect yourself, always verify the authenticity of software updates and be cautious of unsolicited emails or pop-ups prompting you to download updates.
