Type of the Notice: Process Update

Level of Impact: Med

Urgency Level: Low

Purpose: Provide update on a recent security modification when accessing the VPN.

Details: To help keep our network safe and secure, we’re making a small but important change to how you connect to the FortiClient VPN. Moving forward, you’ll be prompted to manually re-enter your credentials each time you connect. This replaces the previous automatic credential process to better protect against potential vulnerabilities.

User Action Required: No immediate user action is required.

When you connect to the FortiClient VPN next, a browser tab will open and prompt for your Microsoft credentials. Please enter your email and password. You will then be asked to authenticate as normal. Once completed, no further action is required to connect to the VPN.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a secure environment. If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to anyone on the IT team.

Thanks to everyone for doing your part to protect MORPC!
